Effect & Use of Perfume
Perfume is a collective term for various fragrances in a solvent, usually alcohol. When perfume is used in a skincare product or massage oil, that product is no longer 100% natural. In some of our massage oils, we use 0.02% perfume, making them 99.8% natural massage oils. This is still much more natural than products carrying the Ecocert label. Our massage oils containing essential oils do not include perfume, making them 100% natural.
Allergic Reactions
A small percentage of the population suffers from perfume allergies, which manifest as eczema, redness, bumps, and itching. People are usually aware of their sensitivity since perfume is found in many products. Before massaging a client for the first time, ask if they have any allergies and adjust your massage oil accordingly.
