Freedom comes first
Richard Branson once said, "A business is really just a group of people together." I strongly agree with this. The talent of a company's people determines its success. Personally, freedom is extremely important to me, and for many years I ran ZenGrowth remotely as a 'Digital Nomad'. It was amazing, but also very lonely. I also noticed that I began to crave working with people in an office again and building a great company together.
For this reason, I want ZenGrowth to grow into the leading supplier of massage products in Europe, with an office around Amstel, Amsterdam. This way, we can strengthen the healing hands of massage therapists across Europe. However, I don't want to lose my freedom, and I still want to escape the Dutch winters. This means that I now want to build a team of people who will work with me in Amsterdam at ZenGrowth, but also be able to work remotely for a few months each year.
In the past year, our team has worked not only from the Netherlands but also from Brazil, Spain, Georgia, Thailand, Japan, and Australia. This way, we aim to create the best of both worlds! However, this doesn’t mean there’s no work at ZenGrowth. Like other startups, it can sometimes be hectic, and there is occasionally high pressure, giving you insight into all aspects of the company. But it is this that makes the work especially fun and meaningful for everyone in our team!
