Suitable for Saddle Chairs and Stools
Gas springs in saddle chairs and stools may stop functioning properly over time. However, if the rest of your chair is still in excellent condition, you can order a replacement gas spring to extend the life of your saddle chair or stool for years!
Our gas springs have a maximum weight capacity of 120kg.
Tip: Before purchasing a new gas spring, we recommend removing the old one from your chair. Due to the conical connection, disassembly can be challenging. Watch the video for step-by-step instructions on how to remove the gas spring from a saddle chair.
Steps to Remove the Gas Spring:
- Ensure the gas spring is in its lowest position.
- Remove the casters from the base.
- Place a cloth on the base and gently tap it with a (rubber) hammer to dislodge it from the saddle chair. Alternatively, you can use your feet for leverage.
- Lay a mat down and place the chair seat on it.
- Using the (rubber) hammer, tap the bottom of the gas spring near the attachment point a few times.
- The gas spring should now release.
